Affordable Child Care

Many families struggle with the high cost of quality child care even when they are working full-time or nearly full-time. Workforce Development Institute (WDI) is a statewide non-profit that works to strengthen New York’s workforce. WDI’s Child Care Subsidy Facilitated Enrollment Program aims to provide stability for working families through equitable access to high quality, affordable child care. Funds are available for income eligible families earning between $54,930 - $111,570. Income levels are tied to family size. You must reside in Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga, and Schenectady counties and work a minimum of 25 hours per week to be eligible. The subsidy can be applied to licensed, registered or legally exempt day care, after school, or summer camp programs.

Your members can find detailed information regarding this child care assistance on the WDI CCSFEP flyer.
